IN THE MEDIA [from Promises]
"A Gift of Food for the Soul" by Kathleen Willard I am a woman once again in the process of re-inventing myself. As such, I find I'm more open than ever before to new and simple non-toxic avenues to health and wellness. I am also very interested in finding methods where I can be self reliant and not dependent upon a therapist or healer to show me the way. Don't misunderstand, I'm a great advocate of many therapies and healers, but as I approach my fifties I am aware that the answers I now seek can come only from within, and I am at long last coming to trust this intuitive power as never before. I have also come to profound belief that when we ask help from the universe she does reply and while the route may seem mysterious, experience has proven it is exactly where I need to go. Thus was my introduction to Tamara Penn, a "self admitted outrageous woman." I first heard of her through a very close friend who benefited enormously from the Professional Rebirthing with Tamara. A year later my dear friend is transformed in her ability to stand strong and undaunted despite apparent chaos all around her. Impressed, I again heard of Tamara through my life long friend Peggy Groom, a Sales Representative for Purity Life in Acton, Ontario. Tamara, always supportive of people achieving their soul's imperative and having heard the passion in my life is writing, encouraged me to attend her Bach Remedy Seminar. She made it clear however, and I quote, "I want you to attend my seminar and learn how to come from your own divine authority - where you will find out how to do this for yourself." This tied in completely with my desire to be more self reliant, and so, on a Sunday in September I attended a basic Seminar on Bach Flower Remedies and Vibrational Healing at the Omega Center in Yorkville. As we arrived each participant received a binder complete with a full description of each flower essence and other pertinent material. I watched Tamara in action as she gently opened us emotionally, spiritually and physically to experience the very subtle and amazing results of Bach Flower remedies, more affectionately referred to "Liquid Love in a Bottle". Peggy Groom, highly respected for her own knowledge of health products, spontaneously stood up at the beginning of the seminar and proclaimed Tamara to be a renowned expert and seminar facilitator of Bach Remedies, with experience dating as far back as 1979. While I soon discovered this lady to loathe accolades it should be told that apart from being a Professional Rebirther, Certified Reflexologist and Polarity Therapist, Tamara has dedicated her life to healing and wholeness and to all methods that D'Light the Soul. Colour and Aroma Therapy are but a few of the gems included in her eclectic jewel box. I might add that if you want to know what's going on in Toronto, Tamara seems to have her finger on the pulse of healing and wellness therapies on all levels. During the workshop we were encouraged to understand that Bach Remedies in no way interfere with other health therapies, but rather, when applied in unison are a beautiful enhancement - the emphasis being on treating the whole person, and not simply the "dis-ease." A healthy skeptic, I found it reassuring to discover it wasn't necessary for me to be a true blue believer of the healing powers of flower essences for them to be effective. They work quite independently of any beliefs held, simply from the vibrational healing powers bestowed by nature herself. This is so important to be aware of, for it is precisely self doubts and limiting thoughts that flower essences effect. By the end of the seminar it was easy to identify what flower essences were needed to create one's own personal formula. Tamara is swirling, whirling phenomena in her capacity as a Seminar Leader on Flower Essences. She's a lover of life. It was delightful at one point to watch her unexpectedly break into dance as the music she provided moved her. Tamara said with a twinkle in her eye "this is "Light Hearted" work. After all, it was a "Seminar of D'Light." On a more practical note there are 38 Bach Remedies in all, plus the Rescue Remedy (a composite of five of the remedies), each tempered with a unique healing life force working to restore harmony and balance from the negative feelings and fearful obsessions that disrupt the peace of mind we all seek. I found myself in the finest of company with like-minded beings from every walk of life from Computer Specialists, Reiki and Therapeutic Touch experts, Health Consultants, Restaurants Owners, Health Store Proprietors, members of the Veterinary Society, Reflexologists, Homeopaths, Marketing Specialists and Secretaries. I found sitting to my right a self employed House Roofer and while this astonished me somewhat, it was abundantly clear there were no skeptics in this group. In any event such doubts were quickly dispelled as I personally heard several fellow attendees comment that Bach Remedies had "changed their life." Now that's what I call an endorsement! I would be remiss if I didn't mention Barry Moore of the Dandelion Deli, in Yorkville, who presented a most amazing, tantalizing and delicious gourmet vegetarian lunch which was included in the price of the seminar. The day flew by spiced with humour, information, and exercise - never a dull moment! At the end of the day everyone was presented with a beautiful certificate of attendance. We all want to go back for more. It was exciting to know that Tamara offers advanced Bach Remedy seminars. Weeks after this seminar I am totally energized and feel about to burst with fresh and new exciting ideas that tell me no one can stop me now. Obviously Bach Remedies are doing something pretty special for the self-admitted skeptic. |
